Holland Drilling’s experience extends beyond trenchless cable and pipe installation. We also have extensive experience with trenchless pipe removal.
The growing economy and energy transition are making underground pipelines even busier. Increasingly, there’s a demand for trenchless removal of old and dilapidated pipes.
Holland Drilling has diverse experience with trenchless removal. For example, a pilot project was conducted in mid-2018 to remove AC drinking water pipes from the 1960s trenchlessly. In Belgium, three existing directional drillings with multiple HDPE pipes were removed trenchlessly under the currently operational Antwerp-Ghent railway line. Steel and HDPE pipes were all removed trenchlessly multiple times, always successfully. The necessary specialized accessories and tools were always developed and built in-house.
